This term our focus for inquiry is “Let The Music Play”, and this term team 5 is learning songs from other countries, so my class and i have been learning some japanese music, here is me recording myself playing the piano.

Hi, my name is Valencia and I’ll be telling you what I did within the last 2 weeks of holidays. So enjoy reading this and hope you did something interesting during the holidays.

The first week of holidays was a family full of grieving. It was my auntie (mum’s little sister) who just turned 21 who had been fighting cancer since young that had sadly passed away mid August so therefore we did not do anything during the first week of holidays.  

The second week of holidays was full of mixed emotions, family quality time. Monday, my grandparents, aunties and uncles and their kids including my mum and my siblings got to spend time with my auntie at her grave and had a big lunch there. Tuesday we all slept at my grandparents house to keep company of each other as we all were processing the loss of my auntie. It was a very chill day. Wednesday we all had decided at the last minute to go to the pools and have a spa day breakfast at home lunch and dinner at the pools. Once the day was done we all went back home to rest. The rest of the four days left were for us to prepare for school work and others.

So that’s all I did during the holidays. I hope you learned something about my story of what I did in the holidays. And remember to always have fun, put a smile on your face everyday no matter the problem and spend the most time with your family while you have them with you now.     

Monday the 6th of October was the first day back and our topic for this term is let the music play.

All the teams and teachers  had to do a video and show us how you can make music with anything.

Team 1 did percussion/music with every day things.

Team 2 did all types of emotions and music.

Team 3 did beats and rhythm with anything.

Team 4 did the same thing as team 3 but did it with dancing.

Team 5 did music from around the world.
